Websites, don't you just love 'em?

This fourth incarnation of our website is the closest yet to what I thought I was getting back in 2003. Since then I've become sanguine about what is and isn't achievable without massive spend but Park Corner Design have certainly delivered our best effort yet.

Inevitably, however, there have been one or two glitches which don't become apparent until you, our site users say, 'Hang on, this isn't working properly.'

Two such have come to light in the last few days:

1 The facility to comment on my various blog postings wasn't switched on. Sorry if you've been trying to vent spleen and failing. It is now working although there is a 'moderator step' that I need to sign off to stop unsavoury comment. Not that we would ever expect that kind of activity from our readers but there are, it has to be said, some strange people in cyber space.

2 The 'button' to claim a copy of the magazine to see what our print version is like didn't go anywhere constructive. That, too, is now fixed and for those of you who only know us via the internet we'd love you to see our glossy incarnation in good old fashioned paper and ink.

Yes, the world is shifting and we'll all be reading on iPads. Kindles or somesuch electronic reader shortly but for the moment we still think you'll find newbooks perfect accompaniment for your coffee or tea breaks - which is where I'm just off to.
